Sessions like this are so good for my creative soul. When Jess reached out to me asking if I would like to take her maternity and newborn (coming soon hopefully!) photos I jumped at the opportunity. You see, Ive photographed this lovely family a couple time in the past as well, Jess loves styled portrait sessions and we are always on the same page when it comes to collaborating! She had this gorgeous red dress custom made and it turned out perfectly and looked incredible on her in the moody evening light. She picked the location (Which was AMAZING!) to be at Ohara Mill & Homestead in Madoc. I had never photographed anyone there and was delightfully surprised when I pulled in to find a perfect covered bridge, old buildings, dense green forests, a small waterfall, fields with wildflowers and beautiful light. Her son, Jack, tagged along catching salamanders and frogs, he even unexpectedly got in a few photos at the end!
